All in-person Ashtanga yoga classes are offered at Twisted Roots Yoga & Wellness in York, PA. Please pre-book using MindBody and follow the studio's COVID-19 protocols. 

Monday 7pm Led Primary Series 

All virtual classes are held via Zoom. Please email megan to reserve a spot.

 

Suggested drop-in class price is $15 USD, but if you are unable to donate at this time, you are still welcome to attend.  Payment can be made via Paypal or Venmo (please use megan.grandinetti@gmail.com).

Ashtanga Foundations: Online Workshop & Virtual Course

Are you new to yoga, new to Ashtanga yoga, or curious to learn a practice that you can do on your own from your own home?  Ashtanga Yoga is a dynamic yoga practice, meant to heal the body through breath and movement.  Join me for this workshop, a personal dive into the Foundations of Ashtanga Yoga. This course includes:

  • A 3-hour, live-streamed workshop where we'll explore the Foundations of the Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga. There will be a detailed guided practice, discussion, and Q&A. 

  • Access to a Foundations Library, which has all the content a beginner to Ashtanga Yoga would need to get started on his or her own Ashtanga practice. (4+ hours of content!)

  • 13 videos total, including 5 guided practices

Ashtanga Foundations: Virtual Course 

This course is an online dive into the Foundations of Ashtanga Yoga. This course includes:

  • Access to a Foundations Library, which has all the content a beginner to Ashtanga Yoga would need to get started on his or her own Ashtanga practice. (4+ hours of content!).

  • 13 videos total, including 5 guided practices. 

  • You'll have access to all of these lessons and videos for 3 months while you establish your practice.
     

Cost: $75

Ashtanga yoga is a system of yoga established by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois designed to purify the body through breath and movement to bring stillness to the mind. In a Led Primary Series class, students are led through the series in connection with their breath. Mysore-style practice is the traditional method of teaching Ashtanga yoga: 1-on-1 within a group setting. No prior yoga experience is necessary, only a commitment to grow and learn in the practice. Students work independently on the particular series of postures that is most appropriate for them. The teacher assists, adjusts and may quietly discuss particular difficulties or concerns with individual students during class. Beginners and those new to Ashtanga are welcome to start anytime and in any class. Studio class rates apply.
